So, on the occasion of Louis’ birthday, we’ve rounded up five adorable moments he’s given us and made everyone think of him as Wales’ favorite child.
The youngest child of the Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince Louis , will celebrate his birthday on Tuesday, April 23.
The youngster, who was born in 2018 in the Lindo ward of St Mary’s Hospital, like his older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, is about to turn six in a few hours, creating for those who follow British royal news tender feelings.
This is because Louis has managed to steal the hearts of all those who follow the daily life of the British royal family in various ways that seem to have written their own history.
The tradition that changed this year for the first time:
For the past six years (which is also the case with William and Kate’s other two children) Middleton’s mom has been the one taking the prince’s birthday photos and posting them on social media.
This year, no portrait of the prince has been published – at least not yet – which is apparently linked to Kate’s health problems and her battle with cancer.
So, on the occasion of Louis’ birthday, we’ve rounded up five adorable moments he’s given us and made everyone think of him as Wales’ favorite child.
#1 The parade of colors
In 2019, in « Trooping the Colour » Louis managed to steal the show with his enthusiastic greeting and his adorable moment with Camila.
The little one, who was 13 months old at the time, was adorable in a blue and white outfit that his father, Prince William, and uncle, Prince Harry, had worn when they were children.
#2 The first public words
Just one year later, in 2020, William and Kate’s children delighted fans by taking part in a question-and-answer game hosted by broadcaster Sir David Attenborough.
It was the first time we heard then 2 year old Louis speak in public and of course he was adorable!
#3 First day of kindergarten
Another memorable moment that Prince Louis has given the public was his first day at Willcocks Nursery in Kensington. This special day coincided with his birthday and Kate Middleton wanted to capture her little son, who posed smiling, on his red bicycle, with a backpack on his back.
#4 Platinum Jubilee Celebrations
During celebrations for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022, Prince Louis stole the show with his grimaces.
Louis took part in the carriage procession at Trooping the Color with his mother and siblings, and was later seen having a sweet moment with then-Prince Charles. At other times he looks flustered and at others visibly tired, while the shot that definitely stole the show was here on the Buckingham balcony, where Louis raises his hand and « argues at us ».
#5 An excited chaperone to school
In September 2022 little Louis accompanied his parents George and Charlotte to school on their first day at Lambrook School after the family moved to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor. The Wales family walks in on the day schools opened that year and Louis is visibly excited.
