Artist uses AI to show us what celebrity kids would look like if they didn’t divorce
Digital creator Jeremy Pomeroy made images with the help of an AI tool and Photoshop that went viral because they are about hypothetical families of famous couples, who either existed in real life and broke up, or never existed.
The series of images, titled ‘Celebrity What If?’, has been gaining traction since the artist shared his creations on Instagram.
In an interview with Insider , Pomeroy revealed that his artistic process involves using a combination of AI image generators and Photoshop. Each image took a different number of hours to create, with some taking several hours, while others required days to complete a single piece. Pomeroy’s goal was to use the technology in a creative and engaging way that would stimulate conversation among users.

Drawing inspiration from a wide range of high-profile couples, Pomeroy curated his series to include notable personalities and famous couples such as Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston , Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez or Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake .

Other portraits are stylized from another era, such as that of Winona Ryder and Johnny Depp, in a Victorian style. Taylor Swift and Harry Styles, who briefly dated in late 2012, seem to be living on a meadow with “What If?” their family.

In addition to real couples, Pomeroy used AI to create families from supposed relationships, like Marilyn Monroe and John F. Kennedy, or when people thought Bradley Cooper was dating Lady Gaga when they starred together in “A Star is Born”.

“By imagining what the families of famous couples would have looked like if they had stayed together, I sought to engage viewers in thought-provoking narratives and spark conversations about relationships, identity and the dynamics of fame,” Pomeroy told Insider .
The artist stated that he chose the couples based on their significance in pop culture, also saying that this was “a creative choice to enhance the narrative and evoke a sense of nostalgia or historical context.”
“I wanted to create a visual juxtaposition and explore alternate realities.”
While Pomeroy’s images have gone viral, he has yet to receive any backlash from the celebrities featured, either publicly or privately. Nevertheless, he eagerly contemplates the reach and impact his work can have, expressing excitement at the possibility of capturing the attention of those depicted.
